Gauhar’s Oriental Rugs was founded by Gauhar Aslam in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 1994. He has vast experience in the rug trade, gained, when he used to go on buying trips with his father, engaging in countless negotiations with weavers from villages and tribes deep into Central Asia, Iran and Pakistan. 

We feature an extensive range of beautiful area rugs from around the world including but not limited to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, China, India, Tibet, Turkey and Central Asia. Our product range is wide and consists of floral, geometric, traditional and contemporary designs. We are also involved in designing and custom manufacturing of modern & contemporary carpets; hand woven and hand tufted in wool & silk.

Each rug is personally acquired and selected by the owner with extreme care, keeping in mind features like quality, design, color combination and workmanship. Gauhar’s Oriental Rugs stands for superior and distinct products of Oriental Hand knotted carpets & rugs, from traditional to modern contemporary designs. Besides retail the company is also involved in exports of oriental rugs to North America, Europe, Australia, Japan & the ASEAN region , through its associated company in Pakistan.
